Since January 2007 the Brussels Expertise Network of Education has been working to improve the quality of their offerings and enhance their services through the exchange and joint development of expertise. The curriculum, diversity (cultural education), teaching methodology, internship, mentor training and quality assurance action groups made every effort to achieve and realise the proposed outcomes of the 2008-2011 first management agreement obligations with the government. You can find the results on the Brussels Expertise Network of Education website.
With the new management agreement for 2012-2015 the Brussels Expertise Network of Education is putting strong emphasis on language and diversity in the metropolitan (Brussels) educational context. The developed expertise regarding internship both within the Brussels Network of Education Expertise (Brussels Expertisenetwerk Onderwijs) and at the Flemish level will be developed further and also the developed mentor training (in collaboration with NOvELLe) will be enhanced with level modules. Finally the Brussels Expertise Network of Education will act as the institution in charge of the joint ‘researched business transactions’ interENW/RP-project. Professional development of our teacher trainers and an optimisation of the curricula in the above contexts is therefore a priority.
The teacher training of the partners of the Brussels Expertise Network of Education continue to do everything together in their power to optimally prepare tomorrows teacher for the challenging educational context in which he/she will end up.
